I mean, how in the world did we get up full of energy to none at all with in an hour flat? I suspect they have that kind of superpower…. secretly. Noneoftheless, my best friend, heather, and I continue our day dealing with them and shower them with our love. Mind you, we have 5 kids in the house plus a kitten- so its 7 people plus a pet is alot of work, especially with loads of laundry and endless dishes.
You know what people say- “I dont know how you do it”
Well. Let me tell you. How do we do it- no friggin idea but to know that we love our kids even through they drain our energy outta of us. Thats love.
Anthony Smith, a 4-year-old hearing-impaired New Hampshire boy, was confident superheroes didn’t wear hearing aids….
…But then Marvel Comics created Blue Ear…

Its not so bad when you are teaching your kids at young age (believe it or not, young as few months old baby). When they are an infant, they cannot speak, only to develop their vocals but could not produce words properly until they get older. So teaching them sign language is AMAZING way to communicate. Not only them to learn it, its for you to learn as well- think about it to add something to your resume. Sign language increases their intelligence and knowledge. Their brain is like a sponge and they would take everything in their tiny brain and able to produce a communication between you and your sweet child(ren). You may teach them at young age or at older age. Any age is perfect to start. It takes alot of patience, motivation, and mental work.
Me? Easy. I’m deaf myself and I am a mother of two hearing children. One is 3, learned since birth. Another one is 4 months, same thing. You may wonder how the hell do I know if they are crying when I cannot hear? Well, you have to stay tuned for another post of Daugherty That!
